Since 1827, Punchestown has been at the beating heart of Irish National Hunt racing. With acres and acres of green pastureland as a base, it hosts many of the country’s most exciting racing events. The main race event of the year is the annual festival held at the end of April/start of May. It is considered the grande finale of the jump season with top class horses, trainers & jockeys from both sides of the Irish sea converging on the Kildare venue to settle scores & confirm reputations. The quality of racing is unrivalled with a total of 12 Grade 1 contests taking place.
This stunning expanse of Kildare’s rolling green countryside is dedicated to some of the world’s most famous races. As well as holding an undeniable reputation for holding events such as the Darley Irish Oaks, the Curragh is also a great place to socialize with great Family Days and glamorous Ladies Days.
