The Saoirse ar an Uisce is a specifically designed boat to allow access to Ireland’s waterways. It welcomes all groups and can hold up to a maximum of 12 people. The boat has open air viewing at the front and rear of the boat which is perfect for passengers to enjoy the breathtaking views and scenery.
Inside it has a galley which is equipped with teas, coffees and light snacks that are provided throughout the duration of the trip, central heating, a radio, television, video player, guide books and maps, and games and colouring books for children. The boat has wheelchair access throughout, is fully accessible with a boarding ramp and has fully accessible toilets. When on board, passengers can enjoy the many activities the waterways have to offer, such as operating the lock gates, freshwater angling, wild-life appreciation, or just simply relaxing on deck. Fully qualified passenger boat navigators and crew are there to make sure passengers have an enjoyable, safe and pleasant trip. Life jackets are provided and must be worn at all times throughout the duration of the boat trips.
There are daily morning and afternoon sailings with flexibility if required to make it convenient for groups. The booking office is located in Monasterevin, County Kildare and the cruise operates out of Tullamore Harbour, County Offaly.
