This year, they have an exciting line-up of events that are sure to keep you entertained from 12pm-4pm on Friday April 7th – Monday April 10th. Lullymore Heritage & Discovery Park (25 minutes from Killashee Hotel)
This park is perfect for families with children of all ages. It features a train ride, a pet farm, an indoor play area, and beautiful gardens to explore. You'll also learn about Ireland's history and culture through interactive exhibits and displays.
Easter 2023 at Lullymore is an eggcellent venue for your family Easter fun. The easter event runs from April 8th to April 14th- note online bookings only for this event! Join the Easter Bunny for “eggstra” Easter event and solve the bunny puzzle and collect your egg & prize! What Easter celebration would be complete without an Easter egg hunt? Hop on over to the Lullymore Heritage and Discovery Park for the most egg-citing hunt of them all! Find all the clues hidden throughout the park, solve Easter Bunny’s puzzle and collect your egg. There will also be prizes of larger eggs each afternoon for everybody who has done the Egg Hunt!
Clonfert Pet Farm Easter Festival (30 minutes from Killashee Hotel)
The Easter Enchantment at Clonfert Pet farm takes place from 1st to 9th April. Funfair, Fairy Trail, Treasure Hunt and family fun galore. Brilliant family memories are guaranteed. This farm and mini zoo offer a great selection of farm and zoo animals with a huge selection of outdoor and indoor play options with three playgrounds, a football and Astro pitch, mini golf, zipline, bouncy castle and indoor play centre. The Kildare Maze (25 minutes from Killashee Hotel)
This outdoor activity is a must-see for families. Located in Prosperous, the Kildare Maze offers hours of entertainment as you navigate through the twists and turns of the maze. Get lost in the Kildare Maze, which is made up of over 1.5 acres of winding paths and hedges. It is a great way to spend an afternoon, and there are plenty of other activities on site including a sand pit, playground and crazy golf.
Donadea Forest Park (25 minutes from Killashee Hotel)
Donadea Forest Park is a beautiful natural area that's perfect for family walks and picnics, a must-visit for nature-loving families. With over 640 acres of woodland and lakes, you'll have plenty of space to explore. The park also has a café for a treat after a long walk. Children will love exploring the woods and spotting wildlife, while parents can relax and take in the beautiful surroundings.
Kildare Farm Foods Open farm & Café (20 minutes from Killashee Hotel)
Kildare Farm Foods Open Farm & Shop is an ideal day out for the whole family. You can experience all that is great about country life. This is free of charge for visitors and is buggy friendly and wheelchair accessible. Visitors can see a wide variety of animals including a Zebra, Wallabies, Mara, Pigs, Sheep, Camels, Goats, Deer, Ostrich, Chickens, Fish and Ducks. With a cafe that serves a wide variety catering to everyone’s needs. This experience has a crazy golf facility and train to bring you around the farm walk (both for a small fee). The shop sells fresh produce as well as condiments, treats and frozen foods. This really is an experience that will have your little ones very excited without breaking the bank!
Castletown House and Parklands (30 minutes from Killashee Hotel)
Castletown House and Parklands: This 18th-century mansion and park is a great place to explore with the family. You can take a guided tour of the house or simply enjoy a picnic on the grounds. Kids will love running around the park and playing on the playground.

The Avon – Blessington (20 minutes from Killashee Hotel)
The Avon is an unrivalled nature retreat and adventure centre and offer a fantastic range of outdoor activities for all ages and fitness abilities. From learning to kayak on the lake, archery, wall climbing to practising orienteering and navigational skills in the forest, this is not for the faint hearted. The Avon is a great place for grab lunch, their food court outside has a number of food offerings from pizza, hot dogs, sweet churros and fish nada chips. They serve truly delicious pizza from the Big Blue Bus and is really the ideal afternoon treat on a dry day as you sit on a picnic bench and enjoy your meal looking over the lakes.
